Hi everyone,
My golf has been stood for about 6 week started only once, ive come to tart it up abit and put it back on the road. When i 1st came to start it i needed the jump leads and it started no problem, but the next day it was dead again. So last nite i started it up and took it for a quick drive and let it tick over till it got up to tempature, once it got warm last nite i turned it off and re-started it and no problem it started 1st time, but i cant drive it far because it isnt taxed and my insurance doesnt start till saturday morning. But again came to start it again just now and its dead, the millege shows but when i turn the key it faints out, is this most likely the alternator or battrey?

Sounds like the battery is goosed to me.

Yeah iam sure it is, just put a volt meter on it and it read 0.23v, thanks anyway! :wink:
