Title: Will a tailgate fit inside the boot
Post by: xionsolaris on 04 March 2014, 21:27
Strange question but I am going to pick up a second hand tailgate over the weekend, mine has been aerosoled and looks rubbish. Does the tailgate fit in the boot the rear seats down as I will be using my golf to pick it up.

I would say yes, but just.... bit tight in hatchback... might have to take of bottom seat cushions (just 2 torx screws) and move front seats a bit forward. no problem in estate

I got one in, without the seats down, a spare grill, a full set of suspension, wing mirrors and some other stuff.

So yes, it will fit!

Yes fits in easy with the back seats down. You put it in sideways.
