Title: new boost pipes help needed
Post by: wsmith on 04 March 2014, 20:58
ive fitted new boost pipes on my 1.8t which is remapped  but since fitting them i can hear more turbo noise louder than normal on full boost  ,it still peaks the same on the boost gauge but i noticed on fitting them there is a pipe just up from the pancake is there a upgraded part for that as i think the noise is coming from there ??

think his on about the n75 hoses. If it is then yes you can buy silicone hose for that from creation motor sport.
Hopefully this is what your on about http://creationsmotorsport.com/product-detail.php?pid=412

Your right 1 pipe goes from the dv to a metal pipe behind the engine. Get a pic up of it.

The pipe between pancake pipe and intercooler comes in most kits. I know the 5 piece creation motorsportd on do. Alternatively just get done correct diameter silicone hose and cut it down to size, after all it's only about 5cm long anyways.

They do not do a upgrade pipe unfortantly. Best bet is to buy a new one from vw.

Follow from the intercooler to the little silicone pipe than pancake than the pipe I need - it connects the pancake to the hard pipe

If you mean the one that connects to the charge pipe that is round the back of the engine and eventually connects to the turbo with a sort of upside down L pipe, then yes it is.

What engine have you got? is it an AUM or AGU? I ask because if it is the AUM, you will need to change the charge pipe to an AGU one to fit this pipe, which I also have spare.  Yes it is blue!
