TPS will know what to use if they cross reference your reg/chassis number. They have pretty favorable rates on service items too.
-

-
Is there much price difference between getting it off the shelf from TPS and where ever else you have tried?
-
Well its £33 for 3l of febi and £45 from vw/tps ok its not the biggest diff but wanted it deliveried

Live and learn oemcarparts do it for £7 a litre if you need it hopefully my funnel comes tomoz and i'll change the oil
-
Oil changed i think the notchyness has eased but i have hundread odd mile journey on sunday that'ill be a better test
-
Interesting although I find the notchyness eases when it's warmer.
-
We will see its done out the way now one less thing to worry about
-
Out of interest how many miles do you have? Just literally got home and it now reads 66,000.
-
35,000 don't need to worry about now seems since to do it tho as i imagine most wear happens when its new neithier plug had a o-ring/washer on which i found odd so will frequently check for leaks the plugs were tapered at the top tho so maybe this counters for that
-
Fairly Low the good news is mines being doing it for a long time and hasn't got that much worse. I think I winged at VW at 25k.
-
Lol it was so easy to do just get it out the way
