what is the best oil and plugs for my 8v digi GTI? i've heard that the silva synta? is good and the boch tripple electrode plugs are also good. what do you guys use?
-
Hello mate
I think most of us use the synta silver stuff and the genuine vw bosch triple plugs. Also buy your oil filter from vw not gsf.

Yep i'd go along with that, use quantum synta silver or gold, and bosch spark plugs.

Yep, I use the synta silver and the bosch triple electrode plugs.

I still think the gold is better, i've used on loads of older cars with no problems.

bosch triple plugs and castrol RS 0w-40
only got I bagged 4 gallons for ?20 ;D
yes I'm a b!tch

You might find that the older cars will drink the castrol 0w40 like the mobil 1 as it is so thin. If it works for you then keep using it, all engines seem to be different.

cheers guys, i'll give the silva stuff and triple electrode plugs a try, so i can get them from the veedub dealer in town?

the man speaks the truth - believe!
KR's where designed back in the day - so tolerences weren't as critical as they are now. So Mobil 1 oil etc is so thin it tends to get burned off in the barrels!
Stick with Quantum
