Title: Drivers seat not locking

Hi guys
I am having problems with my drivers seat, basically the seat just slides forwards and backwards and wont lock into position. Anyone have any suggestions?

Take the seat out and have a look at the mechanism that releases it you will need to change the handle and the cable part I got one from the scrapper fiddly job but easy enough done

if its sliding back and forth it sounds more like the actual seat subframe is not locking into place. as above take seat out and have a look at the mechanism that locks it into place, proberbly a snaped or loose cable. either that or some crap has got in the mechanism and jammed it.

Had a closer look today and noticed someone had used tape on the seat cable to hold it together which was broken. I pushed it back in place and the seat locked.
