Hi all, mk6 gtd picture to follow when photobucket decides to work again, want to carry out a gearbox oil change just need to know where the drain and fill points are pretty sure i found them just want confirmation theres a allen head one at the bottom of the gearbox and another on the front passenger side about 3-4" up the face of the gearbox as i say pic to follow

Im guessing its a dsg since you want to change the fluid
lots of videos on youtube that one above is not the best. I have posted one before which was much better but it was on the GTI. It showed a much more diy way of refilling through the filter hole.
Try a search on youtube for DSG and oil change.
Worth buying some £20 axial stands much more safe than wood chocks or bricks also worth buying a £20 trolly jack too much better than the widow maker oem jack.

I appreciate you concern for me snoopy but i have both the jack is a clarke all singing all dancing but its in the shed an its a ball ache to get out the wood "talks" to you steel doesn't i am in the wrong but it was fine no slips,drops,creaks

If its manual why ate you changing it so early does your car have lots of miles on?

Nope its 34,000 ish i have a week off work and want to get it done for piece of mind want to check the level as box is a bit notchy

I will be interested to know if this solves the notchyness, but I serious doubt it.
