Title: Mark 3 Golf - How to put the convertible roof down on the move
Post by: triplemaya on 28 February 2014, 20:10
I want to modify the convertible electrics so I can put it down or up on the move like the later models. Please can someone point me to info so I can do this. Thanks.

Even if it is on the later models my guess is that it will only be 10mph or lower, my BMW was modified so it would raise or lower at up to 25mph and I would not recommend it.

Just park up and lower it, to feel the roof and weight mass moving at speed was not nice I can tell you.

The question is how to do it, not whether it is a good idea. (It takes me at least 5 minutes driving to get to a road where I can do more than 15 - 20 mph.) :)
