I have an oil leak that seems to be coming from the top bit of the back of the block where the top arrow points. It has spilled down onto the turbo pipe which the bottom arrow shows in the picture. Any ideas what could be causing this. Is it the head gasket? or some type of seal :undecided:

This picture is from above and shows the leak a bit better on the right side of the picture. You can see the actuator and downpipe below.

Rocker cover gasket?

Rocker cover gasket?
That would be my guess.

Thanks guys! Would this leak effect performance at all?

+1 on this looks from your pic like the area of oil is from your cam cover,it shouldn't as a rule affect performance tho

Cool. I am getting a new turbo, ported manifold and supersize tip fitted on Monday, so I will ask my mechanic to sort the gasket out as well.

:afro: expect some pics then should be good, gaskets easy enough to replace also fit a new spark plug cover gasket to as they usually come as a pair

Yeah same as mine, (failed twice). The gasket kit comes with spark plug seals too. Do you smell burning oil when stationary?

Cheers, will get that done as well then!

Make sure you ask if it comes with the spark plug gasket as i had to buy them seperatly from tps.
