Title: Advice on 4motion coilovers
Post by: Ashlee on 23 February 2014, 19:59
Hi, I just bought a 4motion and am looking for coilovers but am getting a bit confused ... Is there a difference between the 4motion and other mk4's when it comes to coilovers? And to the lowering ... Also would I need tie bars ... Some advice would be appreciated

They're 4WD opposed to the 2WD that most MK4's are, so the rear suspension setup is completely different.

yea there diff to a normal golf, any coilovers of a s3 a3 Quattro or tt Quattro will fit, and if you are planning on going any lower than about 40mm you will need tie bars as the rear wheels will camber in, make sure you set the tie arms on both sides the same so the camber is the same either side.
