Title: MK2 GTi 8V dash???

hi, i picked up my first MK2 8V today and drove it from manchester to london, i noticed that the previous owner had replaced the dials with white ones.
but as i was driving the speed seemed to be totally wrong.

i was doing 75mph, and flying past lots of cars.

does any1 know that the speed range is meant to be on a mk2 8v gti??

mine is showin 10mph - 120mph

also what is the revcounter like, where does the red line start...

My last 8v had the same problem and thet was down to the wrong speedo drive! Or ??? he could have fitted the wrong dials as there are 15 different combinations
