Howdy,
Today my new CPU and mobo turned up (AMD FX 6300 BE and Gigabyte 970A-UD3P), so I put it all together and I'm having problems when I install the nvidia drivers for my GTX 470. It'll install the drivers, reboot and load up until the windows logo screen, when the monitor switches off and will go into standby (LED blinks) and a no input signal message on screen appears.
The only way to get it working again is booting into safe mode, uninstalling the nvidia drivers and then rebooting. It'll reboot into windows using VGA rather than the card itself.
Any clues?

Khare i would go onto nvidias website and see if there is a updated driver for the card.

I've tried different drivers mate, latest one and older ones.

look for a bios update for your mobo?

If you let it load, does it play the Windows startup sound? If it does (assuming you haven't disabled it), it would mean that Windows is loading and getting to the login screen.
Am I right in say that that card has 2 DVI connectors and a mini HDMI?
If so, try connecting the other DVI to the monitor. If that doesn't work, try the mini-HDMI.
It sounds like everything is working till Windows loads the display driver, then when the display driver loads, it sends the video signal to a different port.

Its a known issue with a dll file within the drivers if your running windows 7, load up event veiwer and check to when its happening you should notice something like nvd something something. Dll only way i fixed it was ether rolling back to driver version something like 3.90 or install the latest beta drivers.

Sorted it out! Tried switching the display connectors at the back of the card and they both came on!!! Weird!!
