Title: Help,MDI cable issues!

Hello Guys
I've just got back from my VW dealer with a red (Audi part) MDI lead as I had no album artwork etc with the original blue collar one, fitted the new lead, plugged in my I-pod classic and now have nothing at all! No I-pod showing in the media selection at all, I can use my I-phone directly or via Bluetooth, but nothing from the I-pod, any ideas? Cheers.
Just been out to the car to re-check, if I plug in my I-phone it appears selectable in the media section as an 'I-pod' and shows album artwork, so does this mean the red collar cable will not work with my I-pods? Do they need to be a certain generation?

I think you may have discovered the answer here (I've not seen any documentation)...

Try updating the software on the iPod classic, to see if it is the latest version...

Album artwork is over-rated  :grin:
