Title: lowering and spacing question
Post by: sammyboy92 on 16 February 2014, 23:44
im planning to lower my mk3, but looking at the coilovers they say spacers may be needed, my wheels are 17" et40 other than that its currently just a standard mk3, what sort of spacers will i need to make them fit ?

I sell coilovers and non of the sets I sell mention spacers (they are usually narrower than std shocks/springs), the only issue you may have is fouling if you go too low (and that means raising it or trimming the arches)

What set are you looking at?

Thanks, trimming the arch would be Ok,   to be honest I just want cheapish ones really, I just want the look rather than performance,  what sets do you sell,  do you have a website?

My budget range are £185 delivered
(they can be from a variety of brands FK - Jom - TA Technix as I deal directly with several German companies to keep pricing competitive as I can)

I also offer a top mount kit (which are really essential when fitting coilovers) at £30 when bought with coils (for a febi kit) (and for all 4 shocks)

You may only need spacers if the wheels are close to the shock, arches will need trimming however, I had 17" on mine with around a 80/70 drop and even after trimming the arches they rubbed.

I will warn you now that on cheap coilovers the ride will be crap.
