Title: silicone turbo boost hose's
Post by: wessexgti on 12 February 2014, 20:47
does anyone know of a company who make individual silicone hoses,as i brought a 5 piece set and 4 of them fit and the 5th is in no way the right size/shape for the hose its meant to replace-its the hose which goes to the pancake pipe?

also brought the 7 piece coolant hose set from forge, and could only find 5 that fitted, the other 2 just dont marry up to the hoses that my garage seem to think that they should replace.might ring forge again and see if i can nip up to them (when it stops blowing a gale/pissing down) and they can show me which hoses the 'spare' 2 are meant to replace,as 2 seperate garages/3 mechanics all carnt seem to find where there meant to go.any one else had this problem with forge's sets? its a AGU engine mk4 turbo petrol.

Brad, do you do the coolent hoses for AUM?

Well I do Venair, SFS and Samco hoses and non have a coolant hose kit for the AUM

Now Forge list a coolant hose kit for the 1.8t which doesn't specify engine code, I will try and get some pictures of the o.e set and compare if these fit ok

Do you do crankcase breather hose kits for an AUM?

I list a breather hose (1 piece) for the aum (o.e part no 06A103221AH) at £40 (I will try and get a picture from my German supplier)

I will also ask if they can get coolant hoses (My German is not good so it may be 24/48hr before they reply!)

glad i started this now, very interesting the replies you've all put up.

on the turbo boost kit (brought off a good bloke on here who told me he believed it was AGU compatabile) i need the turbo outlet hose only, and have 2 hose's to find that are'nt the right shape from the coolant set sent by forge (who claim they've never had a problem with the 7 piece set they sell for the AGU apart from me),but they clearly are the wrong shape. just to confuse matters, the coolant set from samco is a 9 piece kit,not 7 like the forge set!!

Brad,do you sell individual hoses, rather than sets? cheers

Do you have a  pic of the hose you have or/and need (I can see what I can get/match up as a single hose although most of the bigger brands will only sell full kits!)

no mate, sorry,im a total pc numpty as far as photo's go!!  :undecided:

if you go on the link to creation m/s that was put up,and find the AGU 5 piece turbo boost hose set,its the small 90 degree hose in the top left hand corner (turbo outlet into the pancake pipe ) that is way too small for the AGU engine.

Can you get a bore and lengh measurement as getting a hose looks easy but I can't find any specs anywhere for the bore/length etc

Have a look in here Nino:

You can see how restrictive the CM tip is in comparison to the alternatives.

thats the shape of the hose that came in the 5 piece turbo boost hose set that is nothing like the right shape/length thats needed (fits to the pancake pipe via a metal outlet pipe direct from the turbo i believe.sorry for the vagueness,im no mechanic and im going from what i was told at the time we checked it )

There are two types of pipes like this. One like i posted above is for the turbo without the silencer and the other pipe is alittle smaller for turbos with the silencer.
