Title: Best suspension for Handling
Post by: Rich2086 on 12 February 2014, 15:31
Im not after going stupidly low or anything like that. My Golf has lowering springs on from a previous owner and the handling is abysmal. Iv spent good money of tyres and a Whiteline ARB and although its helped i think time has come for suspension.

Budget is around 500

Probably some decent adjustable, not just in height, coilovers. Spax do a good set for like 400...I'll try and find them.

I use bilstein b16 pss9 and they are a good kit, also good are kw variant 3 or kw cup sport coilovers.
Of course supporting mods like tubular wishbones and all solid rose joints, several hundred kilograms removed from the car and the usual mods like front and rear antiroll bars, good tyres provide a good base to build on.

Heard good things about the weitec but think im going to plump for the Koni's. Been quoted they could take months to arrive but im happy to wait as there are other pressing issues that the car needs.
