Here is my Venair one next to the standard one...it looks to be somewhere in between the THS and SFS supersize:

Did you guys notice much difference with going from an uprated tip to a supersize one?

It's difficult to say, I fit the supersized intake pipe together with the hybrid turbo, larger intercooler, water methanol injection, larger maf and air filter. But what was immediately apparent to me was the noise, the turbo whistle was significantly louder on boost.

Oh yes. I love the noise of a turbo making that whistle. Need to fit mine today. I failed on 3 different things last night. Went to fit the silicone hoses failed as i need to grt under the car (tires are down) so thought i would do my front centre console. Fitted that but the damn cig light dont work so took it back out. So i thought ok il do my arm rest. Quess what? Left the bloody shoulder bolt at home. So going again today and hopefully il have mad4vws helping me out cant wait. Lol

Mine just popped on, I managed to fit my supersized intake pipe from above. I don't have a heater matrix so no heater pipes to contend with. Only difficulty I had was aligning the diverter valve to meet with both the charge pipe and intake pipe.

I done it all from above. Wasnt SO hard. Just bit fiddly. When i heard the tiny pop i had a massive smile on my face lol. Took a good few hours but got there in end. The spinner doesnt have any movement (in and out or side to side) its very solid apart from spinning lol.
Now i can hear the dv better than before. The green spring is on order from forge. Also when i launched off it wheel spun Th
This time it was very easy to wheel spin.

Will update my project with a few pics.

I'm not sure I would have attempted it all from above in anything but my engine bay. My patience has limits lol but hats off to you!

Your turbo looks like there's oil in there, am I right in thinking this is with the standard Pcv breather piping which recirculates?

I have LOADS of patience trust me
The car was owned by a lady (seen her id in glove comparment) thats the only DROP of oil there. Theres a tiny bit in the tip but nowere near excessive!! The engine has 114k on it and as it was owned by a lady its never been ragged
Turbo wheel is solid no movement at all apart from turning. I have seen play in turbos but trust me its SOLID.
Must be the standard pcv breathing pipes. Some were split so i replaced with sillicone hoses

I think what he's getting at is that there will be oil in there with the standard recirculating system as it will condense on any metal surface

SFS oversize TIPs the only way to go.  Best flowing there is on the market.

usually get a lot more delta torque and more power higher up in the rev range.
