hi fellas, as iv sold my mk3 gti valver im looking to buy a mk4 gti turbo on a T-reg plate, its got service history reciepts etc, its done 133,000 on the clock,
What should i be looking for on these cars? any common faults? how much should i be paying for a car like that?
mind you im going to do a project on one, meaning i want around 250bhp by doing upgrades etc also want to fit a dump valve on.
Advise me my fellow mk4 dubsters before i dump cash on this motor?!

Do not under any circumstances fit a dump valve. You need a recirculating valve.
Depending on condition of bodywork I'd say about a grand is right.
