Bought mk4 2.0 GTi 3 weeks ago...never had golf b4.didn't have rear wiper unit on so went to local scrappy and for £24 bought myself one.Fitted it on but doesn't work????any of you guys help.

fuse been removed if it was dewipered ?
-
Hi not to sure what you mean...more info please
-
if the rear wiper unit had been removed , odds are the fuse was removed also. there is a removable panel when you open the drivers door , just around from the light switch .
-
Cheers will check that, also i didn't fit the water supply this wouldn't have been an issue with it not working?
-
wouldnt thinks so , as even when disconnected it will happily spray water all over your boot :)
-
Cheers gm8 will check it all on w/e and get back t'ya.....raining rats&frogs outside!

Job done gm8,fuse had blown now works a treat just got to connect the water hose!!!!!!Would like some advice it's a 2.0 GTi how can I give it some more BHP without breaking into my pension(57)
-
not really much to do on the 2.0 im afraid. best option would be make the car lighter , as you could throw £££ at it for a few BHP. you could grab a 1.8t engine and swap it if you fancy a challenge :)
-
Cheers for the info gm8 but i think now it's time to look for a 1.8...thanks for your help.
