Title: Golf mk5 towbar electrics

Can anyone shed some light on the way forward with doing the electrics on the mk5 not wanting to go down the route of buying the wiring loom can the universal electrics be fitted? Any help appreciated thanks!

You will need the proper kit, modern cars do not like the universal kits, canbus wiring and bulb failure is a nightmare to sort.

It took me a while to remove the wiring on the Bmw as most now feed from both rear lamps.
