Title: Ok, own up...
Post by: Exonian on 07 February 2014, 14:56
Whose are these? Not that I care but it does mean the owner has upgraded alloys and not posted pics, which if you're a member on here, is a serious crime!!!!

I've watched them just to see how much they go for - I'll be doing the same myself!!

Edit - although is it me or is £1500 just a little bit ambitious?

From Birmingham? I wonder if the previous owner knows they're for sale...?

Also, how could they already need a refurb. Surely they hasn't been on the car long enough for that!

They are what, £500++ each new from a main dealer aren't they?

If all 4 have already been refurb'ed, there must be a lot of high kerbs alright!

Surely not the best idea to take photos of wheels you're selling with them resting on the tarmac? At least put a towel down!

I am wondering when the police will stop me in Brum.... always drive erratically to avoid potholes since I have my estate on sport suspension setting (on vw oem 15mm lowered sports suspension)... otherwise it would shatter my spine (and probably wheels) :(

Yea just over the roundabout. There are pot holes everywhere you'd think all the bus lane fines would be used properly.

When I enquired at a VW Dealer, the price per Austin 18" rim without tyre fitted was over £614+ each I think.  The price with tyre as you can imagine was well over £700+ easily.  For 4 Rims the price drops to just around £2000.   I have typed the exact prices in another thread, cannot remember exact prices right now.

You should save at least 10% buying any VW part from your local TPS, maybe up to 35% if you've got a mate in the car trade with a trade account with them.
