Title: gutted its gone
Post by: buddfridge on 06 February 2014, 13:50
Hi,
As the title says my golf gtd mk7 has gone...
I have wanted a gti/gtd since my teens many years ago, I sold my car and traded in the wifes with credit taken out to just to get one.
I have got to say I loved the car but ..vw Listen grinding steering on locking , sqeeking suspension and the font assist not wanting to work eventually took its toll.
I have swapped the car for a bmw f30...not the car I wanted..but bomb proof.
I hope one day the golf is the same..I am not happy , I have debt and now no gtd....love the gtd , miss it, still want it back.
but I feel let down by vw..

That's a shame..... Sounded like you had cause to reject the car?

You'll be very happy with the F30, fantastic all rounder.

Sorry to hear about all the issues you had with your car. If it was me however and it was a car I had wanted for ever then I wouldn't have been so hasty to get rid of it and I woułd have been on the phone to VW everyday until they resolved it or replaced. You may have been entitled to reject the car and ask for a replacement if they could not provide you with a permanent fix.

No offence is intended here but if you are in debt would you not have been better buying a cheaper car rather than an F30 until you got yourself sorted?

No mate ..did a straight swap for the f30..and yeah now I wish I had the ba..s to stick to my guns and keep no matter what..my big mistake.
but that said it was brand new I only covered 1600 miles or so and was expecting no hassle with such an expensive car..my first brand new car for 15 odd years..even the f30 is used.
so i feel that vw have let me down.
