Been looking at some cars recently, time for an upgrade as my MK4 has had it!
Phoned insurance company about a fabia vrs pd130 and they wouldn't quote me saying it was too powerful but happily quoted me on a PD130 mk4 but wanted another £400 up front.
I will be going for a remap and I've seen figures for the 130's going to about 180 bhp. That sounds very nice, but insurance might be an issue so was thinking about a 115. Are they noticeably less powerful? They remap to about 150bhp I've seen, is this a decent amount? I mean obviously 180 is better but.. will I be disappointed with 150?
Bora vs A3?

If they won't insure you on a PD130 have you checked that they will insure you on a remapped car at all?

Good call haha. I am going to do it properly I'm not saying I won't insure it
They will insure me on a GOlf PD130 just not a Fabia vrs version :embarrassed:

if you buy a pd130 then they will insure you.
I had a 100bhp Passat and when I rang the insurance company they told me they would not insure me on a gti so I bought an auq gti and my insurance only went up £100
