Title: Clutch gone?!
Post by: Chappers2606 on 03 February 2014, 21:38
Hi guys,
I've been wondering whether my clutch is on the way out for a couple of months now because it has slipped occasionally and I had a little trouble with 1st sometimes and the biting point was quite high.
Anyway, I took one of the rear calipers off today to reset it as the handbrake wasn't working that side. When I got back in my car to move it, I started it up and went to put it in gear and it won't go in any gear like the clutch just wasn't in-gauging.
I did think it could of been to do with the fluid level because of playing with the brake and being a hydralic clutch but the level is still on the max, tried pumping the pedal etc but nothing.
My thoughts are the thrust bearing may have sh!t itself,
Any ideas anyone?

could be the clutch master cylinder has given up, or even the slave cylinder. way to check, nip the slave out the gearbox and have someone else to push the pedal, but not all the way just in case it screws up the slave if the master is fully working
