Title: 8v Gti pedal box removal

Has anybody got any experience of removing the pedal Box on an 8v? The clutch cable bracket on top has snapped at tge weld, so I need to remove it to get welded back on. Currently bodged with cable ties lol. Easier to remove the whole thing or slide of clutch pedal and the adjacent support? Column out job? Any help appreciated!

Horrible job, it was hard enough trying to remove mine from the car im breaking with the entire dash removed...have fun. :sick:

In the end I fabricated a bracket from 3mm sheet steel to support the cable outer.  :laugh:
