Hello could someone help me out,
Just purchased a golf gtd and started car and esp fault message appeared and had a little shudder going on! Quickly turned ignition off and then back on and car was fine,
Any ideas what problem may be or should I take to garage to be checked out?
Thanks

Its a generic intermitant fault mate will come and go don't worry about it

Ok cheers

Mine doesn't do it
I'd say it could be a sign of low battery voltage causing it to throw a warning message after start up.
Get the battery checked.

No dan its a known mk6 fault mine does it intermitent its fine there was a write up in it somewhere vw software issue

I have to agree with Dan.B!
It may be a known fault but having had the ESP fault flash up occasionally on ign switch on (even after a long journey) after installing a new battery mid November last year it hasn't happened once since!
