Title: Anyone got a picture of the key code on the door handle?

My friend managed to get the Golf open with another spare VW key..unfortunately this key will not turn the ignition barrel so I need to read the key code from the door handle. Does anyone have a guide on removing the door handle just enough to read the secret key code?

Would be much appreciated as the dealer is not going through any lengths to get the key code from VW..and since my own key could open the doors and start the golf then I would be sure the right key will be supplied by the dealer...

At least I could get some of my personal things out of the car. I hope the VW dealer in Camberly will be able to supply a key within the next few days...:)

Just wondering now if it there is any way I can unlock the steering column without the key and thus make it easier for the AA to tow the car to the dealer...this would save me a bit of time...

Just take a barrel out the door and take it into a locksmiths. They'll make a new key up.
