Title: Mk2 golf 16v Rev Gauge inop

Hi I've got a mk2 golf 16v with a 1.8 20vt fitted and my revs gauge isn't working. Was wondering what's best to check first? I've tested another instrument panel and it still doesn't work.

Depending on what ecu you are using will depend on how you wire in rev counter. 16v clocks get signal from coil originally but your 20vt conversion uses coil packs.
