Hi all some of you may have seen me making a nuisance of myself I have a 1999 golf gti turbo at the moment it has a half decent list of mods including
Forge 007p
Silicone boost hoses
Pipercross Cai (removed for winter)
PVC delete with catch can
3" full stainless exhaust
Ko3s
Lowered 40mm on apex springs
Stage 2 map
Pushing 230 Bhp last time on rollers (a while back)
Basically the next things I have planned are front mount cooler, possibly a hybrid turbo (thinking of the k280)
I'm waiting until May when all going well I'll have a £3000 ish budget for an overhaul looking to do a couple of exterior mods at the same time maybe a full wrap as the paintwork isn't exactly mint just torn on colours so any ideas welcome also was wondering whether a bora front would look good

What are you actually asking? loads of ideas, depends what you want out of your car? looks wise just look at other peoples cars and pick bits you like.

Power wise I want to push as far as is safe with the stock rods I'm thinking 280 is a good benchmark?

Yeah, I'd say 280bhp is about the safe limit of stock rods. Others run more but I wouldn't chance it tbh.

Sell your car add the 3k and hunt for a r32 or mk5 gti

I can't insure an r32 :( being 23 sucks and a mk5 gti is my all time wish but it'd have to be black 3dr and dsg with paddles but for the 1500 odd mine is worth and 3000 would give me 4500 and all the mk5s are around 5g's :(

i would just keep it as it is for now and save up. The cars going to get old and lose value. Dont waste money on it. Save up for a few years and better cars will get cheaper. Iv saved up 10,000 but want a scooby but just to get beers from the shop or pop up the bank seems wrong. My golf can do that. I always wanted a escort cosworth but they have all rusted away. :undecided:
