Title: gearbox help !!

hi there
iv got to replace my gearbox as one of the mounts has snapped ,
in my owners book it says ECW but on the gearbox DBZ ?
anyone help me with what gearbox i need or should get

basically asking will a ECW gearbox fit ok ? as theres a DBZ in there now

dont hold me to this but iirc all 5 speed boxes are the same (attachment wise). and theres only 1 type of 6 speed box

i believe the differences in the 5 sp boxes is the ratios, and also the gear linkage, so in theory you could fit any 5 speed box, however, ratios will be different and i believe you may need to take a few parts off old box such as the selectors or other parts...

however i could be completely wrong so dont hold me to that...

Hi mate just had my box changed myself had the same issue the box in my 1.8t was ENJ but found one that was ECW.
All that needed to be done was the gear selecter needed swapped over two 13mm bolts stright swap.
Some of the boxes have 100mm drive shaft flanges some have 108mm these are a easy swap too.
