Post by: mike1990 on 28 January 2014, 13:37
Car is golf 1.8t aum 2001

Where is the location of the o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1? felt around the exhaust manifold and i cannot find or feel it

Easier to jack car in the air or can it be seen and done with it on the floor?

Thank you

Much easier with the car in the air, it's just before the cat.

could you have a decat pipe if sensor is just before cat? without putting a light on the dash?

No because there are 2 sensors, on pre-cat and one post-cat.

That said, I've been running a decat for about 18 months and haven't had the light on the dash.

Sounds like it could well be, a sports cat would be an alternative if you don't want to have mot issues
