As title, my gearstick is a bit sloppy, plus getting 1st gear can be a bit difficult.Any ideas?
Thanks.

Viagra.... :lipsrsealed:
On a serious note check bushes at the bottom the gear stick and have look your gear linkage ..also low gearbox oil can cause ruff gear changes so best look leaks too
-
Are the gear stick bushes easy to replace? and are they main dealer only? or on say ebay?
Many thanks.

42dd solid bushes and the white thing will help have a look on awesomegti
-
Ad do you mean the solid bushes on the top of the gearbox?
-
Im assuming the gearstick bush is worn rather than the rods. Im only guessing on that though. How can you check?

All copied off ukmkivs so sorry if it doesnt make sense the 2 parcels were these and the 3rd will be in the next post
So these arrived....The black and white thing was an absolute tw@t to fit ! Plunk" effect its now more "pow" your in gear ???? Reverse is still abit notchy but thats 1 of 2 things i need to re-redo the gear alignment or i done something fitting the £3 bush thing. The car itself is still quite snatchy when lifting the clutch but i could almost guarantee thats my shagged dogbone mount !

I just copied that straight out of my build so ignore anything irrelevant.

Ok, and thanks for that. How difficult is it to change the nylon bush? And any idea on the rods?
Many thanks.
-
Nylon bush ? White and black thing ? I struggled like mad with it to be honest the metal ones are a piece of cake just make sure you reset the gear selector thing theres a guide on youtube which is brilliant sorry for the lack of technical terms lol

Shortening the gear stick also helps to stop the sloppyness.. when i did the cheap chop 1" off job on the gear stick it stopped the sloppyness
