Hi guys
I've fitted a vr6 engine in my mk2 obd1 aaa wasnt sure if to post in mk2 or mk3
anyway my main problem is I'm getting lots of white smoke on tick over. It clears when its up to normal temp, all powers still there but I'm concerned. Using no oil at all have had to do normal top up on coolant which is every 2months or so.
so I'm guessing headgasket? No mayo on oilcap looks a bit discoloured in expansion tank.
come on give it to me anyone got this issue?
i will mention its done it ever since de-cat and new jetex

Probably valve seals

Nothing to worry about.
Its cold so every car will smoke.
You've got a decat on so no filtering!!!
Sounds normal to me
-
Are you losing any coolant?
-
Its wet its cold. Exhaust holds moisture and that will turn into steam and go once dry.

As Tweed said it is normal with the weather being colder.

As every one else has said condinsation in a new system,
But i would at least do a compression check for peace of mind on a new engine and take the car for a emission check at a local garage.
Your mk2 is probably to old for a cat to be fitted but like i say for peace of mind and spending hours looking for a problem thats not there and enjoy the Vr6 extra power on the way.
