Can somone take pic of the order of the HT leads on the dizzy cap for me please?????? I keep getting told it's 1,3,4,2 and 1,4,3,2!! I also need to see the order in which they sit on the cap ie   1                          ÂÂÂ
                                               2     4
                                                  2
When looking at the cap from the side.I still can't get the timing right and getting conflicting advise off people i know and people off here

your dizzy would have only fitted on one way, looking at it from the dizzy cap the leads should go in a   1-3-4-2 configuration, but they will be going in an anit clock wise direction due to the dizzy being at the opposite end of the cam which goes in a clockwise direction along with the crank etc, remove the cambelt cover, rotate the cranke till you see a notch in the camshaft pulley line up with a notch on the rocker cover, this should indicate that no1 cylinder is at tdc and the valves are closed also, then remove your dizzy cap, what ever out let of the dizzy cap the rotor arm is pointing at set this should be spark plug lead number 1, then follow in an anticlockwise direction in the order of 1-3-4-2 and fit your other spark plug leads accordingly.. hopefully you should fire some kind of life into it... if not undo the locking bolt of the dizzy and adjust either way to see if it will fire if it hasnt.
if i had a 16v to look at and take pics id take em and show you but as im wheelchair bound all i can do is talk you through what i think is right...
come on.. there must be some 16v owners out there that can help more than me at the mo???

Thanks for that mate  I'll have a better go tommorow! I tried to look down that blanking plug on top of the gearbox but can't see a damn thing so i'll take off that cover and try to line it up that way.
It's pissing me off i can tell you that much!
