Title: Engine replacement

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I need a new engine for my a4 1.8t sport (code bfb 163ps) and wondered if anyone had one? They seem quite hard to find and I basically wondered how easy it would be to put an aum or auq instead as they are transverse fitting and my bfb engine is longitudal I believe. Also, what would the labour charges be approximately? I need to work out whether to repair it or break it for spares. If anyone could help I would be really grateful, thanks

I'd like to know this as well. A newer or rebuilt engine is something I've always wanted. Is there something I should look for in an engine? I don't have a cherry picker anymore, so how long and how much would something like this cost me?
