Howdy,
I can tell almost immediately that im going to be using this forum a hell of a lot so here we go...
A 99 Golf GTI 1.8T, image-wise its in perfect nick. Im told there are no faults with it in terms of how it runs/performance.
The only issues are NEEDS WINDOW CLIPS ON DRIVERS WINDOW DUE TO WINDING IT DOWN WHEN FROZEN and PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE SOME TIME STICKS.
£1,350.00
So as the title suggests, to buy or not to buy?
(probs worth noting i am not exactly a boy racer how-ever I do want it to GOOOO!!)

That seems pretty high priced really unless its very low mileage with full history....if you know someone who has vagcom or a handheld diagnostics scanner take it with you! Search "Mk4 golf common faults" on Google. Window clips are fairly common and relatively easy to replace. Door handle could just need taking out, greasing and putting back in, 15min job if you've not done it before.

over priced, keep looking bud.

Offer 900 and work from there, don't go a penny over £1100 if it's mint.
Keep looking otherwise, you'll find the right one. Also, make sure all electrics work on any MK4 - I'm talking properly test everything. Lock it, unlock it, make sure puddle lights work, make sure indicators don't sick. MK4 platform is a bastard for electrical gremlins!
