Hey there people, I'm looking to replace my spark plugs and was wondering which ones to go for ??? Plus I'm running big power !!!
Is it true that the iridium ones are best ???
-
why not just replace with the same 1s thats fitted if they were not up to the job im sure toby would of changed them
-
You no what barrym381 thats a bloody good idea mate, not really having any issues with ones I've got just wondering if these iridium plugs were worth the money you pay for them
-
had iridium on my last car none turbo though... fitted them and if honest no differnce had a cooler plug fitted for mapping purposes too but that it
-
I would stick to what it was mapped with. A lot of difference between yours and a non turbo car.
They are not that much more money and hardly worth saving 30 quid and having the car have to hold back (or worse) cos they aint up to it.
-
Mapper changed them as said it allow him to squeeze the last bit of umpf from the car. Imo od either swap them to what in there now or bite bullet and put iridums in. End of day no matter what they are a better plug and eont cause you any lose of power only gain if any. It could be pleecbo but iirc i did get a better mpg
-
Thanks for the comments lads, think ill treat the car to a set of the iridiums and see how it goes, any issues ill just put the old ones back in lol
-
I just use copper NGK 7s, under a tenner a set. Copper conducts better than iridium too
