Title: which handbrake cables

Mk2 now has mk3 gti rear axle and discs, Mk2 gti handbrake cables have been tried on but look about 7" too short, what cables do I need thanks
Shell is 1986 btw so early model if that helps

You want late mk2 golf handbrake cables, 89 onwards, they are longer

Yes they route different on later cars hence longer, hence telling you to get later cables!

Right ive been looking around and found some 1800mm cables that should do the job  ,the difference is where they attach at the handbrake lever,where early mk2 attach under the lever requiring a longer cable,the later attach behind the lever  ,I never knew there where two kinds!
