Will a TIP for a seat ibiza cupra fit a mk4 golf?

got a mate breaking a seat ibiza cupra, cant see why not, basically the same engine...

If it the same engine code then it would make sense it would fit but not 100%

Someone posted this on the UK Mk4 Owners Facebook page last week, general consensus was no it won't fit, I've got no idea why though.
