Title: How to fix speakers
Post by: madgemad on 15 January 2014, 22:47
Hey,
No doubt this has probably been asked before....
I have a mk4 golf gti and have just had a new window regulator fitted to the front offside door, however now my speaker doesn't work. I am fairly sure the panel came with the speaker attached so there is no way of me telling if the speaker worked to begin with.

How do I figure out what is wrong with it and is it likely that I can fix it?

I know how to get the door panel off but don't know where to go from there...

Thanks

have you defanitly plugged the speaker in?

and you havent snaped a wire off the harness when replacing the regulator panel.

if you still have the old regulator panel, try plug the speaker on that panel in and see if it works.

I didn't fit it so I'm not sure. Will hopefully have time to take the panel off and had a look, just be good to know what i'm doing if it isn't as simple as being plugged in....

Managed to get the old ones back but I have been told they were left in the rain :/

Thanks
