Title: snapped exhaust stud on my gf ibiza mk3

had to take the cat off today on my mk3 seat ibiza 1.9 tdi coz it had broken in half. 3 of the bolts came off easy but one just snapped. will 3 be enough to hold it or am i gona have to try and get it off? i did try getting it off with mole grips but didnt have much luck (http://s10.postimg.org/l9vchikq1/20140115_140354.jpg)

It will need to be replaced, if left it will blow.

Your going to need a stud extracter to get it out.

As wayne said. You could you a gasket sealers, but I doubt it would last more than a few days before breaking off.

Ouch!

Oddly mine has just done the same thing and am repairing tmw. The Nuts/Studs are on back order from Seat too which is a pain.

Out of curiousity, is your downpipe/cat the one piece or two piece item?

I'm having trouble sourcing a replacement so just taking mine off, deleting the cat (it broke on the rear connection) and welding in a straight pipe.

was hoping everyone would say it would be ok with 3 holding it :P its such an awkward place to get to as well and i dont want to take the turbo off. oh and its a one piece system with a joint just after the cat towards the middle of the car.
