Title: GTD mid-range power loss and engine warnings!
Post by: branchespark on 15 January 2014, 15:11
Hi.

My 2010 GTD has developed an annoying fault. The mid-range (1,000-2,500rpm) is rather flat and then the turbo kicks in. I also get a warning from the engine, so out comes VCDS!

My local garage want to charge a fortune to looking at the car, so I thought I'd ask the opinion of you guys before I drop some cash.

As I understand it, the issue can be one or all of the following:

The error is as follows:

Code: [Select]
Address 01: Engine (CBB)       Labels: 03L-906-022-CBA.clb

                    Lambda: 43.4 %

Is there any quick check I can do to try and see what the issue might be? I like to be an informed customer and may even be able to do the work myself.

Thanks a lots,

Sam

Some info here:

You can check the pipes yourself and do some logging with VCDS as per info in the linked thread. Could take it to a tuner and have it run on the Dyno for diagnosis as well.
