Title: Climate control lighting wont fully light!
Post by: WeekendMechanic on 15 January 2014, 15:06
So I replaced the bulb for a led bulb, that did not work then I bought two more led lights drilled to holes in the shield.
Ok got a bright heat circle but on the left ,on the fan speed only the number 4 lights up, and the ducting control only has 1/4 of the circle lit, help it is really bugging me anyone have a fully lit climate control mind telling me what he did to restore it after 20 years?

My dimmer wheel was the fault behind my lighting woes.
Not sure if this affects climatronic

I managed to bypass mine, the replacement unit lasted about 3 months
Since then I have just put up with a half lit dash devoid of enthusiasm to fix (bodge) it

Have you made sure the clear plastic conduit which the light has to pass through is connected back up properly?
Mine had the same fault when I replaced the bulb and it was because this clear plastic wasn't sitting properly against the dials
