Heard different things about dial swaps on a mk4 golf. Is it just plug and play?
-
If you mean changing the clocks...then no you need to get them coded in and you cannot do it with vagcom.
-
Ok where can I get this done? My mpg has given up in my dials and it's really annoying. Thanks
-
Drop a thread in vagcom section mate.. see anyone local to you has the software to do it.. i have some bora clocks i need coding in too.. where are you based?
-
only certain clocks work depending on the clocks you currently have, iirc you can swap to a better set of clocks i.e. immo2 clock - immo3 clocks, but not to a worse set of clocks i.e. immo3 clcoks -immo2 clocks cannot be done.
theres a thread in the maintenance section on them sorry thread was actually on ukmkivs (http://uk-mkivs.net/topic/10689-mk4-golf-and-bora-speedo-instrument-cluster/)
as said you will need them coding though.
list of forum vagcom owners, (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=87936.0) have a search see if anyone is local to you and drop them a pm stating you will give them a few beer tokens for there time and im sure someone will help. if not, garage job it is, or try get a hookie copy of vagcom from somewhere and buy vagcom light (buy it for the lead, you cannot code clocks with vagcom light iirc, and saves you buying a cheep lead and it not working)
