Hi all,
Put a deposit down on a mk6 GTI yesterday and going to pick her up on Monday.
I currently have an Audi TT Mk2 as a fun car and a Peugeot 207 for work and practicality.
I've been looking for something to replace my boring 207 with for a while, it needed to be fun to drive and be practical.
So I test drove a MINI Cooper S, Clubman S and the Golf and overall the Golf ticks all the boxes for me. While the MINIs were good fun, the Golf is something I can live with everyday and have no problems putting bikes in the back
My car history:
Good runaround but extremely dull to drive!

Excellent little car regretted selling it that's why I'm back to a TT lol

Good car, nice and powerful but due to the size I couldn't feel it as much as the TT... also steering was too light.

Got a bargain RX8 for a bit of fun on the side:

Got another TT :D

Decided to get an economical 207 aswell as the TT but got rid of the RX-8

Now I'll part ex the peugeot for the GTI and keep the TT for when I need more power or it's sunny!
it's the same as this one but 11 reg:

Yeah probably does drive like new still. My mums mk5 tdi has 120k on the clock and it still feels solid. Good build quality i guess !
Yeah ive got the GTI cloth seats, i prefer them to leather as i feel it makes it look a bit more special inside. :)

Thanks for the offer Barry .
The GTI is better in every department except for those gorgeous lines of the TT.

. Nope just a standard gti

is that an ed 35?
No that's not a 35!
Congrats on the purchase, I can remember the day I bought mine I was buzzing with the 100 mile trip back home and second hand could give it some beans after its had warmed up. Personally not a fan of the alloys though where have the shadows gone?
Has the dealer took them off to flog for a profit?

. I agree with the alloys, prefer the diamond cut style. Will probably change them in the future
