Post by: gav600 on 12 January 2014, 20:45
Hi, new to the site, ive just bough a Jonnybravo's ( from here i believe) mk 3 2.0 gti track day car, this is my first gti

i currently drive a mk5 r32 sitting on 3sdm 003's on kw coil overs ,full miltex, with revo engine re map and revo gearbox remap, looking forward to see how a stripped out racer on cut slicks behaves compared to the big black beast, any tips on tracks to drive on or track set up welcome

cant wait to get in it and drive the nuts off it

Get a cage in it, but done properly, get the gemoetry checked and set up with -2 camber on the front.

Change the brake fluid for fresh.

Take it to somewhere like Combe, Silverstone or Brands and give it a good thrashing, see what falls off.

Castle Combe is a good track.
Silverstone would be your nearest

Im blessed to have my office in whittlebury, 2 minutes walk to silvestone, ive booked a day at brands next tuesday, as you say, dive it hard and see what comes off.

yes to the cage that was my first plan, then see how it handles and brakes and see if anything needs sorting

im more excited than a kid a christmas
