Title: mk4 2.0 gti starting issue
Post by: smithyvr6 on 11 January 2014, 22:46
Hi guys, ive owned my golf for 2 years now and until a couple of weeks has been trouble free. When I went to start it,it didn't start. It turned over but didn't fire so I had a quick look and checked the obvious.I had a look on the net and went back out about 30-40 minutes later and it started. It ran fine with no issues once started but it done the same yesterday.Has anyone had a similar issue or can point me in the right direction.

didn't have to test it cause it gave up completely while I was driving. was doing 60mph and the engine died to make it worse I was 2 hour from home

Might be worthwhile getting it checked for any fault codes with vag-com first
