Title: Electric folding mirrors fold on door lock?

Hi
I have seen some Mk6 GTI's on YouTube that have the folding mirrors that fold when they lock and unlock the car. Is this possible to to via VCDS or does it need some sort of unit retro fitting?

95% sure it cant be done with VCDS as i try looking for ages and found no real solution. think the people who have managed to get it working has had some bespoke modification.

Its a standard thing on the mk7. At least it was on the loaner GTD i had last week.
