Take it off its not going to help the running of the car mate. Get a forge 007 or 008. And no it should be closed on idle.

Nothing wrong with that dump valve (Forge Split-r) I've been running it on my AGU for years now and never had an issue. Make sure the tension is set correctly on it, good starting point is to tighten it fully then loosen it by 3 full turns and see how it goes.

If you have the blanking plug to make it fully recirculating try that as well.

Yes you wont have no engine managment light or anything but it will not boost as well as with a 007 or the new 008 forge recirculating valve.. i know this as i had forge split-r for year on my agu and after fitting a boost gauge i tested both and the 007p held boost better

To be honest, I'd rather run a standard d/v than a split-r valve.

I fitted a boost gauge on mine for the reason I was a bit suspect of all the bad press the split-r gets but mine boosts fine and holds with no leaks or drops in pressure, so I'm a fan.......... the only one

Mine is set to fully recirculate though haven't tried with the atmospheric set up.

So your basically running it as a 007p
