I recommend Brembo Pads and Discs ... I've just replaced pads and discs all round on mine, and they are actually pretty decent, Cheap aswell, nearly half the price of what  VW was quoting for 'economy discs' AKA ditch finders.

I got mine off ebay and fitted them myself ... Have you done the brakes on a MK6 golf before?

Not as such mate no but i've had every part of the brakes off to take the dust sheilds off to paint them up as they were rusting a touch euro car parts quoted £172 for the lot pagids but my mate an ex mechanic had a look and said they are like new so i'm not bothering now :)

Ah fair enough!! Mine we're metal on metal ... less than a week after the MOT ... Not happy with VW to say the least.

Yeah, VW mot'd it, then VW serviced less than a week later and told me that my car shouldn't be on the road ... I had done less than 250 miles!

Nothing, General manager gave me some bullsh*t excuse and when I complained to VW head office, they put me back to the same guy who gave me another rubbish excuse.
